Tips for Taxes.

With tax season rapidly approaching, it's now time to start planning tax clinics!
As sites start this process, here are some tools to keep in mind.

First, there is a tax clinic kit.
It is the guide to planning, preparing, and hosting your tax clinics.
This document has links to everything from a sample appointment sheet to counselor thank you certificates and all of the steps between.

Second, the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, or LITC.
This program helps people under a certain income level get answers and help with IRS issues.
LITC's are not run through the IRS, however they can provide representation during an audit or court case.

Finally, contacting a local taxpayer advocate.
"We offer free, independent, and confidential tax assistance to taxpayers unable to resolve their tax problems through normal channels or individuals experiencing a hardship."
